The specific information depends on the tools enabled at the time.
Information from other sources
We may receive information from service providers, social media platforms, affiliate networks, analytics providers, business partners or publicly available sources when permitted by law. If you interact with us through another platform, that platform's privacy practices also apply.

How we disclose information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
Service providers and contractors. We may use hosting, website, email, analytics, cloud-storage, security, content-management and professional-service providers that process information for us.
Public content. Information you authorize us to publish in a Traveler Report or other submission may be visible to anyone and may be indexed, copied or shared by others.
Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; investigate fraud, abuse or security concerns; enforce agreements; or protect rights and safety.
Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
With your direction or consent. We may disclose information for another purpose that we explain when seeking your consent.
Sale sharing and targeted advertising
TVB does not currently sell personal information for money. Some analytics, advertising or affiliate technologies may be treated as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws even when no money changes hands. If TVB activates technologies that trigger those requirements, TVB will provide the required notice and choices before or when the practice begins.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand usage, measure communications and, if activated, support advertising or affiliate functions. Where required, nonessential technologies will not be activated until the visitor makes a permitted choice. Visitors can use the website's cookie preference controls and browser settings, although blocking some technologies may affect functionality.
Email communications
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such message or by contacting us. We may retain limited information necessary to honor an opt-out request. Operational or legally required messages may still be sent when appropriate.
Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including maintaining published content, administering consent and opt-out records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal obligations and protecting the website. Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the reason it was collected and applicable requirements.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of certain personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision. These rights may be subject to exceptions. To submit a request, contact legal@thevoyagebrief.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. Authorized-agent requests will be handled as required by applicable law.
International visitors
TVB is operated from the United States and is generally accessible worldwide, but TVB does not presently direct its marketing or services specifically to foreign markets. If you access the website from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other places where our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. General accessibility does not eliminate rights that may apply based on a visitor's location.
Children
The website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Traveler Reports and other public-content submissions are limited to individuals who are at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact legal@thevoyagebrief.com.
Third party links and services
The website may link to cruise lines, booking providers, social networks, affiliate partners and other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version and revise the effective or last-updated date. Additional notice will be provided when required.
