Traveler Report Submission Terms

These submission terms apply when a person sends The Voyage Brief a Traveler Report, photograph, rating, response or other material for possible publication. They supplement the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and authority

​

You must be at least 18 years old and able to grant the permissions below. You represent that the submission reflects your genuine experience and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Your ownership and license to TVB

​

You retain ownership of original content you submit. You grant TVB a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, edit for length, clarity, formatting, privacy or legal compliance, publish, display, distribute, archive and promote the submission in any media connected to TVB. TVB may use the name, initials, location, profile information or attribution choice you authorize with the submission. This license continues for material already published or used in archival, legal or promotional records, even if TVB later stops displaying the original page, subject to applicable law.

Photographs and people shown

You represent that you created the photographs and files or have permission from every applicable rights owner to submit and license them. You must have permission from identifiable people shown when required. Do not submit an image focused on a minor unless you are the minor's parent or legal guardian and have authority to consent, or unless you have documented permission acceptable to TVB. TVB may remove file metadata, resize or crop images, and decline files that present privacy, security, technical or legal concerns. Do not submit private, sensitive, unsafe, malicious or unlawfully obtained material.

Content standards

​

Describe your own experience honestly and distinguish personal opinion from factual claims.

Do not submit material that is knowingly false, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, invasive of privacy or unlawful.

Do not include private contact details, financial information, medical information or other sensitive personal information about yourself or another person.

Do not impersonate another person, manipulate ratings, submit undisclosed promotional content or accept compensation for a report without disclosure.

Disclose in your report if you work for, receive compensation from, or have another commercial relationship with a cruise line, travel seller, travel agency or other company discussed in it, or with one of its competitors.

Do not submit copyrighted photographs, text, logos or other material unless you have the necessary rights or a lawful basis for doing so.

Editorial review and publication

Submission does not guarantee publication. Reports default to Pending and are not public unless approved. TVB does not decline or remove a report merely because it is negative. TVB may request clarification, decline a submission, edit it as permitted above, add context, remove personal information, unpublish it or retain records needed for moderation, legal compliance and dispute resolution. TVB may identify a report as edited or verified when appropriate.

No compensation

​

Unless TVB separately agrees in writing, you will not receive payment, royalties, travel benefits or other compensation for a submission.

Withdrawal requests

​

You may ask TVB to stop displaying a submission by contacting legal@thevoyagebrief.com. TVB will consider the request in light of applicable law, reliance on the license, published or archived uses, legal obligations and the rights of others. This provision does not promise deletion in every circumstance.
